The Specialized Enduro is amazingly tunable - i.e. its ridable over all terrain. Never forget, while you plow through various bicycle catalogue specs: riding over all terrain (within reason) is what mountain biking is all about.
- The Fox Float RL shocks ITch (Integrated Travel) Switch allows on-the-fly travel adjustment from 110 to 130mm.
- The Fox Float RLC TALAS forx is similarly adjustable from 80-125mm at a turn of the dial.
- The FlipFlop link lets you adjust the head angle and bottom bracket height Jekyll-like.
- The TransForm Monocoque frame is stronger because material is strategically placed in line with force vectors applied to the frame while weld areas are moved away from highly stressed sections. It's also lighter because a single monocoque replaces multiple components. Finally, the stiff front end means razor-sharp handling
Little wonder that MBR voted the £2,400 Enduro Pro, The Ultimate trail bike of 2003, adding the rider that the less expensive Enduro Expert was, Just as good. In fact for the money wed say it was a better buy.
In an amazing display of unity between the different British mags the September 2003 issue of WhatMountainBike? magazine crowned the Enduro Bike of the Year.
