We have been running the Specialized Crossroads longer than any other hybrid. It was always a sound bike. For 2002, it has benefited from a style makeover. Check the smoothly flared frame tubing. The result: a postmodern vehicle that looks as good as it moves.
As with the Specialized Expedition bikes, the emphasis here is on riding in trouble-free comfort. That's why the Crossroads also has an adjustable rise stem, upright bars, a Body Geometry saddle, easy-to-change gears and puncture resistant tyres. The most significant difference between these 2 ergo bikes is the Crossroads' faster rolling 700 x 38 tyres. We would therefore recommend the Crossroads if most of your riding is on road, while the Expedition's tougher wheels come into their own if you're more likely to ride off road tracks.
