What is it?
In the shadow of The Kelpies, the whole family can get out on their bike and enjoy this traffic free route… and everyone gets a medal!
LET’S RIDE
What is it?
Throughout the UK, the streets are shut to traffic and people of all ages join together to enjoy riding in their communities. Great for even the smallest of riders as there is no racing, just follow the route (or part of it) at your own pace. Dates and events are still subject to confirmation but last year there were events across the UK including Edinburgh and Glasgow.
TWEEDLOVE (29 – 31 MAY 2020)
What is it?
A large bike festival in the Scottish Borders for everyone from keen adrenaline seeking mountain bikers to families looking to enjoy some outdoor fun. Family events include several bike rides, obstacle skills track and even an outdoor cinema.
EDINBURGH FESTIVAL OF CYCLING
What is it?
A huge array of bike related events throughout Edinburgh. Family events include a family rides, drop in sessions and workshops
GO! FESTIVAL AYR (29TH AUGUST 2020)
What is it?
Along with running races, this festival also has a popular 10 mile family cycle ride on closed roads. And that’s not including the air display (by the Scottish International Airshow) and fireworks, pipe band, funfair and more!
