The Specialized Vado X 3 5.0 is the higher-spec version of the Vado X 3 range, a full-suspension electric hybrid bike that shares its motor platform with the Levo 4 mountain bike. If you want a single e-bike for commuting on rough city roads and riding trails at the weekend, the Vado X 3 5.0 handles both.

Motor and battery

The Specialized 3.1 motor delivers 810 watts and 105Nm of torque, with an 840Wh battery giving up to 150km of range. Power delivery is smooth and builds with your pedalling input, inherited from the same SuperNatural system used in the Levo 4 e-MTB. Enough range for a week of commuting or a full day on mixed terrain.

What the 5.0 adds

The step up from the 4.0 brings an ergonomic cockpit with a 2.2" touchscreen display, a manual wheel lock for when you're popping into a shop, and the option to add a wireless charging Quad Lock phone mount. Built-in Apple Find My comes as standard, useful peace of mind if you're parking up in town.

Full suspension

Front and rear suspension smooths out potholes, gravel, and rougher off-road sections. For an electric bike for commuting and trails, that makes a tangible difference over a rigid hybrid, especially over longer distances.
