Our longest-established store enjoys, perhaps, the finest location of any bike shop in Britain. We occupy the ground floor of a listed Victorian building on Whitehouse Loan. The Bruntsfield, Edinburgh bike shop is skirted by The Meadows Cyclepath and it overlooks Bruntsfield Links – a much loved and well-used public park, famed for being the site of the world’s original short-hole golf course.
With a large selections of bicycles, you can choose from bikes, electric bikes, and kids’ bikes by top brands including Specialized, Giant, Liv, Whyte, Tern, Frog Bikes and many more.

Opened in 1979, the bike shop has grown steadily over the years, both in size and reputation, winning the ‘ Best Bike Shop in the UK Award ’ in 2017. While we have opened Bike Co-op branches up and down the country since then, our Bruntsfield, Edinburgh cycle shop remains our flagship store. Offering a vibrant selection of bikes and cycle equipment from a cross-section of the world’s leading bicycle brands, backed up by the mechanical expertise of our in-house cycle repair service centre, it remains among the busiest and most admired bike shops in Britain.

Bruntsfield is a shimano certified service centre.
As part of the full service available at our cycle shop in Bruntsfield, Edinburgh, our knowledgeable mechanics are on-hand to assist with bike repairs; from punctures and minor adjustments to more complex fixes and bike builds. Bruntsfield is also an authorised Shimano Service Centre, for extra peace of mind. Our bike repair service in Bruntsfield, Edinburgh starts with a free safety check-over and estimate before carrying out any additional work. We’re happy to repair any type of cycle, regardless of where you bought it, and if you book the bike repair in advance and pop into the Bruntsfield cycle store before 12.00 noon we can usually get the job completed in time for your ride home that evening.
We’ll gladly perform any repair, from a quick inner tube change to a new set of wheels. You can view our pricelist online and free feel to contact us for any questions or appointment availability. We offer:

Fast Repairs – if you schedule the repair ahead of time and bring your bike in before 12 noon, we can generally have the bike ready for you to collect the same day.

We stock top brands including Specialized, Whyte, Kalkhoff, Giant, Gazelle, and Brompton which means you know you’re getting a bike that is reliable, comfortable, and fun to ride.
We also stock an array of electric cargo bikes, which are fully adaptable to your business or family transport needs. Tern e-cargo bikes are designed to carry up to two kids, a week’s worth of shopping, or 200kg of cargo with ease. Visit our shop to see these impressive bikes in the flesh. While the Riese & Muller e-cargo bikes all have a Bosch Performance Line CX Gen4 motor which provides an a abundance of power without delay.
Kids Bikes
Cycling should be as fun and as easy as possible for children. We take pride in stocking only the safest, most reputable, and lightweight brands, including Frog , Giant, Whyte, and Specialized, who make both girls’ bikes and boys’ bikes in a variety of colours and styles.
Our pedal-less Frog balance bikes are a great option for little ones just starting out. When it’s time to move on to pedal bikes, choose from our wide range of kids’ bikes with sizes all the way from 3 years old up to teenagers.
