The Whyte T-160 RS V3 Mountain Bike is built for riders who want one bike that handles everything, from steep, rocky descents to long climbs and full-on enduro racing.
This is the V3 model, and Whyte has refined the geometry and suspension platform to make it faster and more composed on rough ground than previous versions.
If you've been looking at the Whyte T-160 RS for sale in the UK, here's what you're getting: 160mm of front travel from a RockShox Lyrik Ultimate RC2 29in fork, paired with 150mm at the rear via a Super Deluxe RC2T DebonAir shock. That combination gives you proper confidence on double-black diamond trails, bike park laps, and loose Alpine lines, while still pedalling well enough to race between the tapes.
Frame and geometry
The Whyte T 160 RS V3 uses a 6061 aluminium SCR frame with ISCG 2 chain guide mounts and built-in geometry adjustment. That means you can tweak the ride feel depending on your local trails or riding style. Riders in the south of England dealing with rooty, off-camber singletrack will set it up differently from someone sessioning uplift days in the Welsh valleys, and the bike lets you do that without fuss.
Drivetrain and wheels
SRAM's GX Eagle 1x12 speed transmission runs a 32T chainring up front with a 10-52T cassette at the rear. The range is wide enough that you won't be grinding up fireroads or spinning out on motorway-flat cycle paths.
Both wheels are 29in as standard, which rolls over rocks and roots with less effort. But if you prefer a more gravity-focused setup, you can convert to a mullet (MX) configuration, running a 29er front wheel with a 27.5in rear, for quicker turning and a lower centre of gravity on steep terrain.
Who is the Whyte T-160 RS V3 for?
This Whyte enduro bike suits riders who want a single mountain bike they can race, ride park on, and still enjoy on longer days out in the hills. It's a capable all-rounder with a clear bias toward descending, so if most of your riding is XC or gentle towpaths, there are lighter options. But for UK trail centres, natural terrain, and weekend trips to the Alps, the Whyte 160 RS is hard to fault.
The Gloss Green/Black colourway looks sharp in person. It's a proper green and black mountain bike that stands out on the trail without being over the top, and it holds up well against mud and scuffs.
