New Website – Improved Shopping


In May 2025, we upgraded our systems to provide a better shopping experience for our customers, both online and in-store. We have made improvements to website usability, product availability, and accessibility to advice.

In this article we take a look at the changes we have made and the benefits to you, the customer. We are confident these changes have resulted in an easier, quicker and more convenient shopping experience.

Access to Thousands More Products

Our new system allows us access to our supplier’s inventories resulting in even more access to bicycles, electric bikes, accessories and clothing.

When you place your order, our website will offer accurate timescales for delivery depending on the location of the product. This could be in our warehouse, in one of our stores, or with the supplier.


Our previous system’s search function was not up to scratch, unfortunately. Our new website has addressed this and you are now able to quickly navigate to the product you are looking for using the search bar.

Search by Cycling Brand


Another website navigation improvement is the ability to search by cycling brand. If you have a particular favourite brand, this can be a useful way to show all of the latest products from a company. It also allows you to narrow down a search if you are not sure of the exact name of a product.

Ask Questions About Products


Do you have a question about compatibility, size, weight, or whether the product is best for your needs? You are now able to ask questions about any of the products on our website.

This will be answered by one of our experienced team – just as if you are speaking to a colleague in-store. These questions are monitored every day, Monday to Friday so you can be sure of a quick response.

Improved ‘Click and Collect” Service


We have made ‘Click and Collect’ much easier by presenting this as a convenient option at checkout. This is particularly useful for bicycles – you get the convenience of ordering online but with the benefit of having the bike fully assembled in store. Of course, you can also order items such as clothing, components, and accessories to be ordered to any of our stores.

For any of our products on the website, you can choose to collect in Aberdeen, Edinburgh (Bruntsfield), Edinburgh (Canonmills), Edinburgh (Giant Store), Giant Store Stirling, or Newcastle.

Updated Info Centre and Blog


To keep you up to date with all the goings-on in the Edinburgh Bicycle Coop world, we we have updated our information pages and blog. Info includes news, size guides, job vacancies, ordering and shipping info, and payment types (including Bike to Work and Interest Free Credit).

We have also updated the look of our blog pages for all the latest buying guides, tips and advice.
