The Doon armset is Praxis Works' pro-level carbon road crankset, built using their in-house C.R.A.F.T. process (Carbon Resin Automated Filament Technology).
The result is a lightweight road crankset that's stiff where it needs to be and precise in how it transfers power, without the weight penalty of aluminium at this performance level.
At 335g to 345g for the armset alone (weight varies slightly by length), these are genuinely ultra-light crank arms. The 30mm aluminium spindle uses an M30-THRU interface, and the SRAM 3-bolt direct mount system means you can run 1X or 2X setups and swap between them without changing the arms.
Compatibility
This is where it's worth reading carefully. The Doon armset requires a Praxis M30-THRU bottom bracket, available across most common frame standards including BSA, BB86, T47, BB30, PF30, 386EVO, and BBRight. It works with 10, 11, and 12-speed chains from Shimano, SRAM (including Flat-Top), and Campagnolo.
One important note: this is a road-specific carbon crankset and is not compatible with Shimano GRX front derailleurs due to the chainline offset. Chainline is 44.5mm for 2X and 45.5mm for 1X.
The 3-bolt mounting also opens up compatibility with a range of aftermarket power meters, including Power2Max and Sigeyi, which makes the Praxis Works Doon crank arms a practical choice if you're building around a power meter setup.
Installation
The self-extracting bolt (8mm alloy) means you won't need a dedicated crank puller to remove these. A built-in preload collar lets you dial in bearing tension and remove any lateral play without fuss.
