Tern HSD P10 Gen2 Electric Cargo Bike
For a lot of families, the second car is a money pit that mostly does short trips: the nursery drop-off, the shop, the school run, ferrying a kid to a club.

A few things make daily life easier too. The Intuvia 100 display is detachable and simple to read, the Bosch eBike Flow app handles updates, riding modes and the eBike Lock from your phone, and the 1x10 Shimano Deore drivetrain keeps shifting fuss-free. If you're short on storage, it's designed to stand upright in a hallway or a small flat, so you don't need a garage to own one.
The adjustable cockpit fits riders from 150 to 195 cm (4ft 11in to 6ft 5in), so two parents of different heights can share the same bike without faff, one more way it earns its keep against a car.
Who it suits
The HSD P10 fits families and city riders who want to swap short car journeys for something cheaper, quicker through traffic and easier to park, while carrying a child or a real load. If you only ride solo and never carry much, a standard hybrid would do the job for less.
But if the aim is to lean on the car less, or drop it altogether, this Tern electric cargo bike is one of the most practical ways to do it in the UK.
