The Specialized Turbo Vado Evo 3 4.0 in Gloss Sandstone Metallic is an all-terrain e-bike for riders who don't stop at the end of the tarmac.
It handles city roads, gravel tracks, towpaths and rougher lanes equally well, powered by Specialized's 3.1 motor with 810W and 105Nm of torque. The motor runs on Levo 4's SuperNatural DNA, so it responds to your pedalling naturally rather than surging or lagging behind your effort.
The warm, sandy tone of the Gloss Sandstone Metallic finish gives this a more understated look than most e-bikes. If you've been after a beige electric bike that doesn't draw unnecessary attention parked outside the office or locked up at the station, this Specialized e-bike hits that mark well.
An 840Wh battery provides up to 150 km of range, which covers most UK riders for a full week of commuting or a long day out without needing a top-up.
What sets the EVO apart
The 2.6" Hemisphere all-terrain tyres are the main difference between this and the standard Turbo Vado. They're wider, more forgiving on rough ground, and much more confident in the wet. For anyone riding mixed surfaces regularly, particularly in British weather, that extra grip and cushion makes a noticeable difference.
This is still a capable city electric bike for commuting, but it won't punish you for taking the longer, rougher route home.

Who is this bike for?
Riders who commute on a mix of roads and trails, and want one bike that does both properly. The Specialized Vado 4.0 e-bike works for anyone who lives near canal paths, bridleways or potholed back roads and doesn't want to baby their tyres every time the surface changes. It's also a solid option if you're looking for an electric bike for sale in the UK that can handle weekend exploring as well as the daily run.
Security
The Turbo System Lock disables the motor and battery when you park up, and built-in Apple Find My lets you track the bike from your phone. Both come as standard.
