Whyte T-130C Works 2018

'Works' means, 'as ridden by Whyte's pro team', so you can be confident this 130mm-travel carbon-frame Whyte T-130C full-suspension trail enduro rig works very well.

Upgrades from Whyte S-130C RS

  • Whyte Tubeless carbon wheel rims on Hope Pro 4 rims really are the best of British
  • Lighter weight RCT3 version of the RockShox Pike fork
  • Lightest weight, hardest wearing SRAM XX1 Eagle drivetrain
  • Race Face Next 780mm wide / 35mm diameter carbon bars on 40/50mm stem
  • Trail riders' favourite Maxxis High Roller II TR, 27.5” x 2.3” front / 27.5” x 2.25” rear tyres with EXO Sidewall Protection

Same as Whyte S-130C RS

  • Whyte SCR Single Chain Ring specific dual suspension carbon main frame
  • Its SCS Symmetrical Chain Stays and its wider main pivot create an even stronger and more reliably flex-resistant rig
  • SCR translates to you, the rider, as improved cornering confidence and enhanced suspension performance
  • 148mm Boost rear dropouts reinforces this bikes rigid-where-required theme
  • Tubeless ready rims and tyres make it very viable to upgrade to tubeless
  • Why upgrade to tubeless?
  • The dropper seatpost is the best proven RockShox Reverb Stealth

The benefits of Whyte's unique MTB trail geometry in their own words
'
We push the front wheel further in front of the rider at a slacker angle to the frame. This helps the steering ‘self correct', keeping you on track whether you're ripping down a rowdy mountain trail or a back road short cut turns out shady. By adding a long reach top tube we can team the stable steering with a super short, snap reacting stem for dodging traffic and potholes on the way to work or surfing sliding tyres down a black run descent. Add our own carefully selected handlebar shapes and you've got the perfect balanced of confident communication and connection in your hands.

Steering feel alone isn't enough to create a benchmark setting, award winning handling character though. We also drop the centre of gravity of our bikes as low as possible so they naturally glue themselves onto the ground through corners rather than leaving you perched and precarious. Because driving a barge is dull we keep the back ends super short whatever the wheel size to guarantee the hop and pop agility you need to bring the trail alive.'

Add all the other features that make a Whyte mountain bike special, such as their unique Quad 4 suspension with UK-proof lifetime guaranteed pivot bearings, it's hard to imagine a better trail bike for the money. See our Why we're in love with Whyte mountain bikes blog

Here's how Whyte describe the T130 S
The T-130 C Works gets a wish list spec built around SRAM's evolutionary Eagle drive chain which comes in the top spec XX1 Gold version. With X-Dome cassette technology and Hard ChromeTM coating on both the chain and cassette, shifting and wear resistance have never been better.

The T-130 C Works features our "5/5 award winning” single ring specific Carbon frame. A full width main pivot that increases torsional stiffness, extends bearing life and maximises suspension performance.

The Works comes with Whyte's own 30mm wide hookless carbon tubeless ready rims laced onto Hope Pro4 hubs with DT Swiss spokes and brass nipples. This build gives both lightweight and security when pushing the Works to the limit.
