Whyte T-130C RS 2019 Full Suspension Mountain Bike

This even stiffer, lighter weight carbon frame version of the Whyte T-130 earned a perfect 5/5 review from What Mountain Bike magazine in 2017 - see review.

Upgrades from Whyte T-130C R

  • Trail riders' favourite Rockshox Pike RC 140mm-travel fork
  • The SRAM Descendant 7K Eagle X-sync 2 crankset delivers stiffer power transfer
  • Why you want a one-by drivetrain
  • SRAM Guide RS 4-pot brakes are DH race-proven, making the T-130C RS an even more viable all-mountain trail bike
  • RaceFace 30mm wide, sleeved joint, UST Tubeless rims

Same as Whyte T-130C R

  • Whyte SCR Single Chain Ring specific dual suspension 6061 aluminium hydroformed frame
  • Its SCS Symmetrical Chain Stays and its wider main pivot create an even stronger and more reliably flex-resistant rig
  • SCR translates to you, the rider, as improved cornering confidence and enhanced suspension performance
  • 148mm Boost rear dropouts reinforces this bikes rigid-where-required theme
  • Tubeless ready rims and tyres make it very viable to upgrade to tubeless
  • The 760/780mm wide bars on the shorter stem (40 or 50mm depending on frame size) deliver sharp steering response
  • The dropper seatpost

The benefits of Whyte's unique MTB trail geometry in their own words
'
We push the front wheel further in front of the rider at a slacker angle to the frame. This helps the steering ‘self correct’, keeping you on track whether you’re ripping down a rowdy mountain trail or a back road short cut turns out shady. By adding a long reach top tube we can team the stable steering with a super short, snap reacting stem for dodging traffic and potholes on the way to work or surfing sliding tyres down a black run descent. Add our own carefully selected handlebar shapes and you’ve got the perfect balanced of confident communication and connection in your hands.

Steering feel alone isn’t enough to create a benchmark setting, award winning handling character though. We also drop the centre of gravity of our bikes as low as possible so they naturally glue themselves onto the ground through corners rather than leaving you perched and precarious. Because driving a barge is dull we keep the back ends super short whatever the wheel size to guarantee the hop and pop agility you need to bring the trail alive.'

Add all the other features that make a Whyte mountain bike special, such as their unique Quad 4 suspension with UK-proof lifetime guaranteed pivot bearings, it's hard to imagine a better trail bike for the money. See our Why we’re in love with Whyte mountain bikes blog

Here's how Whyte describe the T-130C RS in their own words
The new T-130 takes the playful, do-it-all attitude of its award-winning predecessor and massively updates it with more capable suspension, latest generation Whyte OTO geometry and sleeker packaging.

The T-130 geometry was designed around a shorter 37mm offset fork. The extra front end grip this creates, allows us to make the most of the 140mm travel fork, fully exploiting the capabilities for the new chassis, the more neutral handling and the 2.6" tyres.

SRAM's Eagle GX 12 speed drive-train is used on the T-130 C RS. This 500% range 10-50 cassette allows the chainring to be increased to 32t, giving both top and bottom range improvement.
