Whyte Mudguards

Whilst you/we can fit SKS P35or P45mudguards to Whyte C7, R7 (except the Montpellier) and RD7 bikes, you might prefer a similar-quality pair of guards, specially made to smartly match your Whyte.

  • Constructed in a tough lightweight nylon/aluminium laminate.
  • The Whyte Mudguard's (supplied) metal stays boast a safety break-away feature to prevent the wheel locking dangerously should anything get jammed in either mudguard.
  • The Whyte Mudguards come in different widths and designs to fit different Whyte models.

Whyte Fender Set ReviewReview by Simon

Completely agree with the last reviewer on Whyte mudguards.  I thought I'd get them for my Whyte Stirling expecting them to be of the same quality as the bike itself.  They are not! They don't fit easily or tidily with the stays sticking through the fixings on the mudguards themselves.  Also had to bend the stays to fit. The mudguards themselves are not robust - one split at the lower fixing.  In the end I gave up as I couldn't get them rigid and they easily rubbed on the tyres.  They're now sitting in the shed and I'm making do without. Not recommended. (Posted on 10/04/2016)

"My advice - don't bother. They're marketed as being made for Whyte bikes as though you can unpack and install them in minutes, but that's simply not the case. I bought a set for my Cornwall, thinking that installation would be easy. But I had to use a hacksaw to cut the front stays to the correct length and a drill to make a hole for the rear mudguard. The clips are awful to use. They're large and bulky and distort the mudguards to such an extent that tightening them lightly moves the mudguard closer to the side of the wheel. The whole system is incredibly difficult to set up so that both mudguards are pointing in a straight line. But the worst thing is the front mudguard. It has only one stay per side, which means that if you ride with one hand, it rattles all over the place, sometimes banging into the side of the tyre. Don't get these mudguards. Buy some SKS mudguards instead - they're sturdy, with a sensible fitting system, and much better made." (Posted on 16/04/2015)

I have a 2014/15 Cambridge what type should I choose?

I am looking to buy Whyte Coniston 2017 for myself and my wife. The dealer says Whyte have not made mudguards for this bike. Is this correct. Not sure I want the bikes as dealer offering a fit all shiny pair which won't go with the Matt finish on the bikes. Can anyone advise on mudguards availability.

Would I be able to fit the 46mm mudguard to a Whyte Dorset 2014/15? It has RD7 wheels. The extra clearance is needed for wider tyres.

The Whyte guards finish short & I'm soaking my ride buddies. Are there any flaps that fit pls?
