Edinburgh Bicycle Co-op are delighted to bring you the first ever RTT (Reduced Top Tube) versions of the Specialized Stumpjumper M4 Comp.
The Stumpjumper M4 Comp RTT is simply the best hardtail MTB for women we've ever seen. As ever with Specialized, learning their language helps you understand why this bike is special.
Stumpjumper - fondly known as the Stumpie - the name Specialized gave to the world's first production MTB - has evolved to mean 'out the box and ready to race'.
M4 refers to the unique alloy they employ to create what is generally rated as the most comfortable, lightweight (3.3lb) aluminium MTB frame.
Comp means this is a Competition-ready bike featuring for instance Shimano's best XTR rear mech.
RTT means Reduced Top Tube - Specialized's take on WSD.
With their unerring attention-to-detail, Specialized did not stop with the frames. Tektro short-reach brake levers and Specialized's own S-Works reduced-diameter handlebar grips were just made for women's smaller hands. A Women's Comp version of the Specialized Body Geometry saddle promises comfort without compromising performance, as does the custom-sprung Manitou Mars fork specially tuned for the lighter weight rider.
