Specialized Body Geometry Gel Gloves

With more gel padding - but only where required - these are Specialized's most cushioned track mitts for cyclists.

  • If you've ever been aware of bad vibes being transmitted from unsmooth roads, paths or trails via your handlebars, you are a candidate for Specialized Body Geometry Gel Gloves.
  • Strategically located foam pads bridge the palm's recesses to relieve pressure on the ulnar nerve
  • Not only does the ample gel padding damp vibrations that cause fatigue, it also reduces hand numbness
  • The reinforced Micromatrix synthetic leather palm is both supple and durable
  • The micro-width Velcro closure offers a custom fit that doesn't restrict wrist movement
  • The soft Microwipe fabric on the back of the thumb doubles as an often-welcome, soft, absorbent brow wipe

Specialized BG (Body Geometry) Gloves and Track Mitts
Shock from the road or trail is continually (albeit subtly) transmitted via the handlebars to your hands. You notice a tingling sensation. You are experiencing ulnar nerve inflammation. This can lead to numbness or, worse still, carpal tunnel syndrome. As long ago as the 19th Century, physicians identified this condition and referred to it as the cyclists' palsy.

Originally developed by ergonomic specialist Dr. Roger Minkow in association with Specialized's pro riders, Body Geometry mitts and gloves incorporate foam and gel padding exactly where required to help prevent this inflammation.

'Our Body Geometry Gel gloves are all about comfort. They feature strategically placed gel pads throughout the palm to alleviate hand fatigue by relieving pressure on the ulnar nerve. This design also comes with the added benefit of minimizing hand numbness, as well as reducing many other negative effects that come as a result of road vibrations. Breathability has also been accounted for at the back of the hand, while a secure fit is ensured by a micro-width Velcro® closure.'
