Osprey Questa 27

With padded sleeves to isolate and protect your laptop and/or tablet in transit, the women's-specific Osprey Questa 27 is especially recommended for cycle-commuting students and office workers.

  • Designed for women - the shoulder straps are routed and the hipbelt is shaped to fit the female body better than a unisex sac
  • The back of the rucsac and the shoulder straps are padded and mesh-faced to create a comfortable and airy backpack
  • This low-key suspension might be near weightless, but it maximises comfort and minimises sweat
  • Off the back, the sac's stout top handle offers another carrying option
  • The sternum strap and the waist strap make this pack very stable when you're on the move
  • Compression straps tamp down your cargo
  • Three large zips at the top of the bag offer access to three separate compartments
  • The front-most zip reveals Osprey's famous honeycomb-lined pocket on the top of the bag for keeping sunglasses, iPhones and the like scratch-free and safe
  • The next zip gives you access to a pack-length compartment with a key fob handily positioned near the top, a plethora of open-access organiser sleeves and pockets (we counted eight) and a zipped pocket that would take a large wallet
  • The third zip offers access to safe storage for your laptop and tablet
  • The padded laptop sleeve takes a notebook up to 36cm long by 28cm wide x 5cm deep
  • Each of the stretch mesh pockets on either side of the pack would take a large bottle or a camera
  • External front bungees make it easy to pack, say, a jacket or bike lid on the outside of this pack
  • Discreet reflective graphics glow when shone upon
  • An LED strap offers a conveniently conspicuous place to carry your rear bike light
  • Osprey's own click-fix buckles and zips (all with handy zip pullers) are super smooth in operation
  • Main Fabric: 210D Nylon Oxford
  • Maximum dimensions: 48 (l) x 30 (w) x 26cm (d)
  • Manufacturer's published weight: 780g

'Featuring a women's specific fit, the Questa 27 is a city bag with true outdoor heritage, carrying a design degree passed down from decades of Osprey backpack experience. This quality and feature-driven daypack is versatile, durable and offers unrivalled levels of organization and carrying comfort. A padded laptop and tablet sleeve carries your electronics securely. Side compression webbing and a tuck-away webbing hipbelt ensures that your load is always under control. Keep your complicated mobile life in check, with a multitude of pockets, compartments and an integrated organiser. For those days when you need extra carrying space but your bag is full, you will appreciate the front stretch bungee that quickly stashes your jacket or bike helmet.'

The Osprey story
In the early 1970s there was a young backpacker called Mike Pfotenhauer. He loved exploring his native Oregon USA but he hated the cumbersome backpacks that prevailed in those days. With help from his mom he learned to sew and created his own pack. Other hikers liked the look and design of this pack so much, they commissioned Mike to sew them similar sacs.

This interest encouraged Mike to start selling his customised packs from a small retail shop in front of his rented house in his new home town, Santa Cruz, California. Perhaps realising that Pfotenhauer might not be the most catchy name, he called his packs ‘Osprey'. That was in 1974.

Over the decades, Osprey bags' reputation for quality, functionality and durability has grown and grown. Although he no longer stitches the bags himself (Osprey's rigorously quality controlled factory in Ho Chi Minh City does that) Mike continues to oversee every bag design before it goes in to production.

Osprey's reputation for making darned fine rucsacs has established them as America's Number One technical pack manufacturer.

Over here, a fair few of our customers have thanked us for stocking Osprey, saying they're the best packs they've ever used, and the most comfortable to carry.
