Mavic Ksyrium Pro Exalith 25 Road Wheelsystem

Mavic's most affordable sub-1,500g wheelset with best in class Exalith braking compound makes it perfect for endurance road bikes.

  • These wheels are sold singly (but don't let that put you off buying the pair)
  • The rear wheel takes a Shimano/SRAM-compatible 9/10/11-speed cassette
  • Mavic's lightweight ISM 4D Maxtal rim offers improved aerodynamics.
  • The rim's Exalith brake track delivers an 18% improvement in brake performance
  • Exalith keeps its cool black looks over 1,000s of miles and contributes to the rim's longevity
  • SUP (Soudé Usiné Process) welding - here the rim joint is welded then milled for a smooth seamless finish to ensure the rim is absolutely true and the braking surface is judder free
  • FTS Force Transfer System - the rear wheel's Mavic's aluminum freehub is internally reinforced with stainless steel inserts at the pawl-to-hub body contact area to ensure longevity and fast, consistent engagement
  • The rims are 17mm wide (internal width)
  • The 17mm (internal width) rim combined with the Mavic 700x25mm tyre (which comes supplied and ready fitted) conforms to the growing consensus that wider tyres are not just more comfortable, they're also faster. More on this.
  • The front rim is 24mm high
  • The asymmetrical rear wheel is 26mm high
  • Recommended tyre size: 700x25 to 700x32mm
  • Straight pull (stronger than J-bend), bladed, Zicral steel spokes (18 on the front, 20 on the back)
  • Radial lacing front
  • Isopluse lacing rear - the spokes are laced radially on the drive side and 2-cross on the non drive side to maximise drive side dish, thus providing a better spoke tension balance between left and right flanges.
  • QRM (Qualité de Roulements Mavic) double sealed cartridge bearings are very smooth-rolling, and they're user adjustable
  • The wheels come ready fitted with made to match 127tpi Mavic Yksion Pro 700x25 tyres (tube and rim tape supplied)
  • The GripLink front tyre offers confidence inspiring grip on corners
  • The PowerLink rear tyre minimises rolling resistance to convert your power input into speed
  • Maximum recommended pressure: 110psi
  • The wheel comes supplied with a pair of Exalith brake pads, a quality QR and a multitool that combines a spoke wrench suitable for bladed spokes, a QRM bearing adjuster and a tyre lever
  • The wheelset weighs just 1,475g (front and rear wheels weighed without tyres, tubes, rim tapes and QR) to make climbing easier and/or quicker.
  • Recommended maximum weight: 120kg (rider + bike)
