Product Description

The Rocky Ridge is race ready. Moreover such a well-spec'd bike is fabulous fun to ride - even if you never aim to compete.

Upgrades from Marin Palisades Trail:

  • Full butted aluminium frame, now with triangular stays for extra tyre clearance and a more compliant feel
  • Manitou SX fork with Twin Piston Chamber (TPC)
  • TPC means that the fork's oil-filled right leg has 2 pistons: a compression piston at the top and a rebound piston at the bottom - duties that are usually performed by a harder-worked single piston. The result is one of the smoothest, continually oil-bathed suspension forks of proven reliability.
  • Kevlar-beaded tyres on Mavic rims
  • Shimano 27-speed Rapidfire transmission with XT rear mech
  • Marin Deore Hollowtech cranks - better shifting lower weight
  • Clipless pedals
  • Avid V-brakes - consistently rated as Shimano standard, and lighter weight
