It can be a simple matter of changing the bar tape as illustrated here by the Bike Co-op\u2019s Ged: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cPersonalising the bicycle can be one of the pleasures of bike ownership.<\/p>\n<p>When I bought my <a href=\"https:\/\/www.edinburghbicycle.com\/collection\/genesis-croix-de-fer-bikes\">Genesis Croix De Fer<\/a> a year ago, being an old duffer, I customised it with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.edinburghbicycle.com\/accessories\/finishing-kit\/mudguards\"> bicycle mudguards<\/a> and a Brooks saddle in pursuit of that prerequisite of pleasurable pedalling \u2013 a dry and comfortable ass.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" style=\"max-width: 600px\" src=\"https:\/\/www.edinburghbicycle.com\/info\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/222\/2025\/04\/8216_1841_2853_geds-handlebars.jpg\" alt=\"geds-handlebars.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The bike was now perfect from the off, apart from one detail.<\/p>\n<p>I didn\u2019t get on with the original bar tape so I replaced it with Brooks leather tape to match the saddle. Immediately, the bike felt and looked even better than new \u2013 at least in my opinion. And that\u2019s the whole point of personalising the bicycle. It makes your bike your own and sets it apart from every other bike on the street.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>New handlebar tape can make all the difference.<br \/>\nCheck also the Oxford Bright Spoke Reflectors \u2013 bling on a budget. Or consider <a href=\"https:\/\/www.edinburghbicycle.com\/accessories\/reflectives-bells--mirrors\/mirrors\"> bicycle mirrors UK. <\/a><\/p>\n<p>Was it happens we\u2019re almost out of Brooks Leather Tape but we now have equally deluxe (and less expensive) bar wrap from Lizard Skinz and handlebar grips from Race Face in a rainbow of colours.<\/p>\n<h2>FREE FITTING<\/h2>\n<p>If you are ordering a new bike from us, and you want anything changed or extras fitted, just ask.
