Personalising your bike is a great way to make it unique and to make it feel like your own, so hopefully these pictures shared by our customers will inspire you to do the same.<\/p>\n<h2>SARA WON THE PEOPLE\u2019S VOTE WITH \u2018HOUGHTON LE SPRING\u2019:<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"max-width: 600px\" src=\"https:\/\/www.edinburghbicycle.com\/info\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/222\/2025\/04\/6916_1781_0548_original-28.jpg\" alt=\"original-28.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: center\"><span class=\"image-caption\"> Sara kept her caption short and sweet: \u201cPimped my bike with Electrical Earth Tape to hide the rust!!!!!!\u201d <\/span><\/h5>\n<h2>KIDS MAKE THE BEST CUSTOMISERS:<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"max-width: 600px\" src=\"https:\/\/www.edinburghbicycle.com\/info\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/222\/2025\/05\/8716_1781_0575_frog-bike-680x499-1.jpg\" alt=\"frog-bike-680x499.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This is Daniel with his \u201ckick ass hand-me-down Frog 55\u201d which is pimped with a \u201cslammed stem, FSA top cap, Raleigh 2\u00d71.95 tyres, CatEye Velo 5 computer, football valve caps, spoke reflectors and bike sticker selection. Eat my dust!\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>PERSONALISATION FOR ALL THE FAMILY:<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"max-width: 600px\" src=\"https:\/\/www.edinburghbicycle.com\/info\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/222\/2025\/04\/7816_1781_0550_taking-the-bus-1.jpg\" alt=\"taking-the-bus-1.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Phil, with his entry \u2018Taking \u201cthe bus,\u201d\u2018 reported: \u201cMy Revolution Courier Disc has slowly evolved into a proper car replacement. WeeRide seat up front for my co-pilot (pictured trying to get at the snacks in the bag) and a Revolution tag-along behind for my 5 year old stoker. ReeLight magnetic dynamo lights and\u00a0 good rack and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.edinburghbicycle.com\/accessories\/finishing-kit\/mudguards\"> bicycle mudguards<\/a> make this a brilliant commuter. Maybe not as \u201ccool\u201d as some other bikes, but cycling with the kids makes rides much more fun. \u201d<\/p>\n<h2>A TOUCH OF CLASS:<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"max-width: 600px\" src=\"https:\/\/www.edinburghbicycle.com\/info\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/222\/2025\/04\/8016_1781_0551_triumph-eco-rat-rod-1.jpg\" alt=\"triumph-eco-rat-rod-1.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Jack\u2019s 1978 Triumph Traffic Master was \u201cbuilt by Raleigh on the site which is now Nottingham University. My customisations are the new pedals, front and rear Pletscher luggage racks with folding rear basket and red leather satchel and kool-stop salmon brake pads. It is also fitted with a mid 1960s Huret speedometer with odometer and a number plate displaying its frame number.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>AND ONE OF OUR OWN REVOLUTIONS:<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"max-width: 600px\" src=\"https:\/\/www.edinburghbicycle.com\/info\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/222\/2025\/04\/7216_1781_0549_pimped-revolution-1.jpg\" alt=\"pimped-revolution-1.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Harry is proud of his Edinburgh\u00a0 Revolution\u00a0 Ascent, pimped with \u201ca Brooks B17 saddle, Brooks saddle bag, new deep rim wheels with Schwalbe marathon plus tyres, Clarks floating brake discs front and back\u2026 Gears upgraded to Shimano Acera 8 speed with KMC chain; LED light kit; Specialized bottle cages and TDF water bottles; Lock on soft rubber grips; Neoprene rubber fork and rear arm protectors. Plus some plain black mudguards.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>IT DOESN\u2019T HAVE TO BE DIFFICULT<\/h2>\n<p>You don\u2019t need to start pulling pieces off your bike to make it your own. A simple change of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.edinburghbicycle.com\/components\/saddles-and-seat-posts\">saddle<\/a>, bar tape, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.edinburghbicycle.com\/components\/finishing-kit\/grip-tape\">grips<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.edinburghbicycle.com\/components\/pedals-and-cleats\">pedals<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.edinburghbicycle.com\/accessories\/finishing-kit\/mudguards\">mudguards<\/a> will do the trick, as well as adding <a href=\"https:\/\/www.edinburghbicycle.com\/accessories\/packs-and-luggage\">bike bags<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.edinburghbicycle.com\/accessories\/reflectives-bells--mirrors\/mirrors\"> cycle mirror<\/a> that suit you best.
