Well times have changed! Electric cargo bikes are now powerful, easy to handle and quite likely more convenient (and faster) if your journeys usually involve stop-start traffic or searching for a parking space.<\/p>\n<p>This is why we\u2019re excited to announce we\u2019re going to be stocking electric cargo bikes! The range will grow over the next few weeks but we now have the Tern GSD S00 available to\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.edinburghbicycle.com\/info\/blog\/demo-bikes\"> demo <\/a> !<\/p>\n<h2>ABOUT THE TERN GSD S00<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" style=\"max-width: 600px\" src=\"https:\/\/www.edinburghbicycle.com\/info\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/222\/2025\/04\/5216_1650_9279_tern-birds-ewye-view.jpg\" alt=\"tern-birds-ewye-view.jpg\" \/> The first thing you might think about the Tern GSD S00 is that it doesn\u2019t look that big\u2026 and you\u2019d be right! It\u2019s the same length as a standard bike but it\u2019s packed with clever cargo carrying features. These features are also changeable. So if you\u2019re carrying your children in a child bike seat or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.edinburghbicycle.com\/accessories\/child-seats\"> Hamax Child seat <\/a> , shopping or making deliveries, you can get the accessories to make it work. In fact, the max load weight is 200 kg (400 lbs) which is pretty impressive.<\/p>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: center\"><span class=\"image-caption\"> In this picture, you can see how the Tern GSD (left) and a regular bike (right) are the same length. <\/span><\/h5>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" style=\"max-width: 600px\" src=\"https:\/\/www.edinburghbicycle.com\/info\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/222\/2025\/05\/7516_1650_9279_Picture4-300x199-1.jpg\" alt=\"Picture4-300x199.jpg\" \/> To make them even more handier, the Tern GSD S00 can also be stored up on its end so it fits in a lift, cupboard or other tight spaces when it isn\u2019t being used. The Magura\u00ae MT5 4-piston hydraulic disc brakes will give you reliable stopping in all weather conditions.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" style=\"max-width: 600px\" src=\"https:\/\/www.edinburghbicycle.com\/info\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/222\/2025\/04\/4516_1650_9280_tern-family-bike.jpg\" alt=\"tern-family-bike.jpg\" \/> The bike only comes in one frame size but should fit riders between 150 \u2013 190 cm (4\u201911\u201d \u2013 6\u20195\u2033) with the distance between seatpost and handle bar and saddle to pedal being adjustable. This makes it a great bike for sharing between family members or employees. The cost of a two day demo is \u00a3100 but this money will be refunded to you (when you bring the bike back in good condition), in a gift voucher or redeemed against the cost of the bike (\u00a35,000).
