Three of the bicycles on offer are cross-style bikes – each one named after a beautiful county best explored by bicycle – the Cornwall, the Suffolk and the Somerset.

The 3 cross bikes on offer
Whyte Somerset 2016 our price £599 (RRP £799)
Like every Whyte compact-frame bike, the Somerset offers a more comfortable fit for most women, and shorter guys too. When you consider that the similarly equipped (Shimano Sora 2×9) 2017 version of the Somerset retails for £850, this is an outstanding deal.
Whyte Suffolk 2016 our price £999 (RRP £1,299)
The Suffolk shares all the benefits of a Whyte cross bike described above but in a standard (non-compact) frame format. Then it’s significantly upgraded with a weight saving, comfort-enhancing carbon fork and a Shimano 105 groupset including genuine Shimano disc brakes. Why hydraulic disc brakes are great.
Whyte Cornwall 2016 our price £1,350 (RRP £1,850)
The Cornwall delivers the added comfort and enhanced performance of a carbon frame making it the perfect all-weather bike for the discerning cyclist. In Whyte’s 2017 range, £1,350 doesn’t even buy you an alloy frame bike with the Cornwall 2016’s full Shimano 105 level of equipment.
… And One City Commuter Bike
Whyte Shoreditch 2016 £500 (RRP £650)
Prefer a flatbar commuter hybrid? Again, Whyte show their genius for frame geometry with the Shoreditch. Its long wheelbase and relaxed head angle make for stability at high speed, balanced by a short stem for slow speed manoeuvrability. Again, the spec – multi-butted 6061 aluminium frame, carbon fork, bang up to the minute 1×10 Shimano Deore drivetrain, Tektro Auriga hydraulic disc brakes, 700×28 puncture resistant tyres, clearance and eyelets for mudguards and rack – makes for a superior workhorse that’s also a light and nimble pleasure to ride.
As ever with Whyte, the key thing about their cross bicycles is the frame geometry. Whyte cross frames are classic road bike geometry (73 degree head angle and 73.5 degree seat tube angle in medium sizes) so they deliver the fast-steering agility and acceleration potential of a pure road machine.
Cross style means these bikes come with wider road tyres (700×28) for improved grip and comfort, clearance for mudguards (which we’ll fit for free if you purchase them with the bike) and all-weather, low-maintenance disc brakes. Put all this together and you get a road bike for all seasons, equally fit for winter commutes and summer sportives.
Why these offers are very special
As a rule our only problem with Whyte bikes is that they’re so popular they often sell out, so if you want a specific Whyte bike in your size you might have to wait until next year. Given this scarcity, it’s very unusual to see Whyte bikes at a discount price.
Today, our four Whyte bikes on offer are available in most sizes, so do yourself a favour and check ‘em out instore – while stocks last.
