For the third year in a row, Alan from our Sheffield shop is helping organise a day out for Brompton riders in association with LBC (London Brompton Club).
This ride is open to everyone – as long as you do it on a Brompton. (Riders under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.)
There will be no charge for participating in this ride and no need to register. Simply turn up at Sheffield Railway Station at 10:30am. When we set off we will be riding briefly with Sheffield Space for Cycling before heading out to the countryside
If you are coming by car, you’re welcome to leave it at our Sheffield store’s car park and ride with our guys from the shop to the station, leaving at 10:15am.
The planned circular loop will take you from Sheffield city centre and back again via Malin Bridge, Worral, High Bradfield, Dale Dike, Low Bradfield and Loxley.
The ride won’t be too strenuous – only around 15 miles – and there will be lunch and tea stops along the way (you pay for your own food).
If you fancy the ride but you don’t have a Brompton, give our Sheffield shop a call (dial 0114 255 8580 and ask for Alan Knott) and we might be able to organise lending you a demo bike (you will be asked to bring along id and leave a refundable deposit).
As a reward for participating, Edinburgh Bicycle Co-op are creating special T-shirts to give away to the first 50 riders who turn up.
