Free Bike Check
You might have seen in Scrum Magazine that we’re offering everyone who has signed up to the Doddie’5 Ride on 11 August (or any other sportive) can take their bike into any of our shops for a FREE bike check.
Getting your bike checked by a mechanic before a big ride is really important. Although you might not notice things on short or infrequent rides, on a longer and more challenging ride, a small niggle could easily turn into a big problem. And big problems might stop (or at least delay) you from crossing the finishing line.
As the graphic explains, we’ll check all the main components to make sure they’re in good working order. We’ll then suggest any work that needs done – and you can decide whether to book a service and get the work undertaken or not.
Remember, we’re not a corporation which employs sales people to ring out as much money as possible from each customer. We’re a cooperative, run by cyclists for cyclists. We won’t recommend work that you don’t need. And we’ll always leave the decision up to you – you won’t get a hard sell from us. Learn more.
You can take your bike into any of our shops:
All of our shops have trained mechanics and workshops. We have a range of servicing options which start at £35. Read more.
Or you can learn bike maintenance skills yourself by attending one of our courses.
