REDEFINING RIDE DYNAMICS
Since the 70’s Fox has been a leader in the design and development of high performance shock absorbers and racing suspension products for mountain bikes as well as other vehicles. Their team of engineers have worked with enthusiasts and professionals to redefine ride dynamics and improve performance to give you the confidence to push your limits.
And now we are proud to announce we are stocking Fox Forks.
So what are Fox Forks?
The naming pattern of Fox Forks might sound confusing but it’s actually quite straightforward. The number represents the upper leg diameter (in millimetres). This in turn will give you an idea of what type of riding the fork is made for. Fox 34 forks are ideal for all-round trail use while Fox 36 forks are made for heavy duty trail and enduro use.
The Factory Series is the highest spec in the Fox Fork range with FIT4 and FIT GRIP2 dampers. Factory Series forks are also easy to spot as the upper legs are coated with “Kashima” – a gold coloured treatment (which helps to retain lubricating oil) which reduces friction and increases the wear and tear it can withstand.
The Performance Elite range also have the damper technology in the Factory Series (FIT4 and FIT GRIP2) but does no have the recognisable gold Kashima finishing.
If you ride an electric mountain bike, don’t worry, there are Fox Forks for you too! These forks are heavier but they also deal better with the extra bulk (and weight) of an electric mountain bike.
