Being one of our Bike to Work Scheme partners, we have developed a strong relationship with Edinburgh College over the years.

When they asked us to supply tool kits and track pumps for their newly-installed Bike Repair Stations, we were more than happy to help out a local employer, committed to improving the facilities available to employees who cycle to work.

Further chats with the College revealed that each of their four campuses around the city was to get its own custom built Bike Repair Station to make it easier for staff to perform a spot of bike maintenance on site.

The College believes this is the first example in Scotland of an employer providing this kind of facility for their employees.

We were impressed with the College’s eagerness to implement this initiative and further delighted to receive an invitation to the Bike Repair Station launch, which College employees and Sustrans Scotland also attended.

Our mechanic, Dougie, from our Canonmills branch provided a quick demonstration, showing how easy it can be to maintain your bike at work when you have the right equipment to hand.
