There are many great brands for women’s cycling, but as part of our month of Celebrating Women’s Cycling we’re focusing on one of our favourites: Liv.
Liv’s ambition is ‘to make cycling more approachable and appealing to women’. As far as we know, Liv is the only women’s global bicycle brand that is entirely staffed by women. Liv’s designers, engineers, and managers – every employee is a woman. That’s exceptional in the bike trade. The fact that Liv is a semi-autonomous part of Giant – the world’s largest quality bicycle manufacturer – helps ensure every Liv bike is exceptional too in terms of the quality of spec on offer at every price point.
To keep up to date with everything Liv, their facebook page covers everything from the latest news from Liv’s own multi world champion Marianne Vos to why the Liv-equipped Afghan Women’s Cycling Team have been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize to great tips for everyday women riders.
The Liv website is well worth checking out, and the UK-specific Liv website has a great page about their staff in the UK, what bikes they ride, and why. They also have a women’s cycling event page which is a great way to see if there’s anything go on near you.
