Giant Trance 2 2017

Giant’s 140mm travel full susser updated and improved with Trunnion shock mount, Boost wheels, Fox shocks and Shimano SLX 1x11 gears & hydraulic disc brakes.

'Stay in control, even when the trail gets rough. The all-new Trance puts you on a lightweight yet stiff ALUXX SL aluminium frame with an updated Maestro Suspension system. Its newly designed Trunnion shock mount and an Advanced Forged composite upper rocker arm make the whole system lighter and stronger. It features 140mm of smooth and active rear suspension travel and 150mm in front. All optimised for the superior trail performance of 27.5 wheels. The new Trance also features wider Boost hub spacing (110 front/148 rear) for stiffer wheels to give you more control on rugged terrain. Boost also increases tyre clearance and improves the chainline for optimal drivetrain performance. So whether you're bombing a physical descent or muscling through technical terrain, the new Trance helps you tame the terrain.

Giant Maestro Full Suspension Mountain Bikes 2017
Maestro is Giant’s award winning suspension platform, which we stock at three levels: 110mm travel Anthem (XC), 140mm-travel Trance (trail) and 160mm travel Reign (enduro).

Being built from scratch as only Giant know how, Maestro full suspension mountain bikes have always been great value. For 2017 Giant have met the challenge of how to make great bikes better by making the frames longer and lower, and the chainstays shorter. Every Giant Maestro model has now adopted the Boost standard for improved wheel strength, stability and tyre clearance. The result: a rig that's more controllable, better tuned for aggressive trail riding and even more fun to ride.

Trunion Mount
For 2017, every Giant Anthem and Trance model has been upgraded with a Trunnion composite shock mount. Bolting the rear shock to this stiffer more compact mount optimises the damping so the tyres grip better, the bike tracks truer and the suspension is more resistant to bottoming out on landings.
