Genesis Tour De Fer 20 2019 Adventure Road Bike

Tour de Fer 20 is an intelligently equipped (Tubus racks, SP/B dynohub, B&M lights) flatbar Reynolds 725 touring / commuter bike, fit to take you to the ends of the earth.

Upgrades from Genesis Tour De Fer 10

  • Reynolds 725 frame
  • Reynolds tubing has been a first choice of discerning frame builders and bike riders since at least the 1930s
  • Reynolds 725 is a heat-treated, butted CrMo steel tube set which, in the hands of Genesis, creates a comfortable, super-resilient, lightweight frame. See review
  • Fitted with a beautifully minimal yet super strong Tubus front rack to match the rear
  • The Shimano Deore 3x10 transmission with 24/34/42 chainset and 11-34 cassette offers much lower gears for spinning up the steepest climbs - even when fully laden
  • Stronger, smoother rolling wheels built on Sun Ringle Rhyno Lite 36h rims and SP PD-8 front / Shimano FH-M525 disc brake hubs
  • SP front dynohub/B&M lights are legendary in adventure cycling circles and they promise battery-free lighting forever

Same as Genesis Tour De Fer 10

  • The quality steel frame is similar to the Croix De Fer - strong but comfortable - but with longer chainstays, a longer wheelbase and a lower bottom bracket to create a superbly stable bike, built to carry loads
  • The fork is also confidence-inspiring rigid CrMo steel
  • Fast on tarmac, supple on dirt roads, Schwalbe Marathon Mondial 700x35s are among the most puncture-resistant tyres made
  • The chromoplastic mudguards are extra long for extra coverage
  • The Tubus cromoly steel rack offer sway-free support for heavily laden panniers
  • ProMax disc brakes bring a new level of all-weather low maintenance stopping power to touring bikes
