Endura Luminite II Overshoes

If you ride in everyday shoes or casual trainer-style cycling shoes, this Luminite II is the Endura overshoe for you. (Endura's other overshoes are made for skinny road bike shoes so you will struggle to fit them over wider shoes.)

With its taped centre seam running down the front of the overshoe and its more waterproof fabric, this second generation version of the Endura Luminite Overshoe is even more weatherproof than the original.

  • The Endura Luminite II Overshoe uppers are a smooth water-beading waterproof fabric on the outside, comfortable and mildly fleecy on the inside.
  • The front section of the sole is Kevlar - rated the world's most abrasion resistant fabric.
  • The rest of the sole is completely open, bar the stretch Velcro elastic that holds the shoe in place around the sole's mid-section.
  • You will appreciate this open design if you've ever failed to clip into your pedal because your overshoe encroached over the cleat and prevented connection.
  • The extra-wide Velcro rear closure offers more flexible fitting options than a stretch fit or zipped overshoe.
  • Luminite refers to this overshoe's masses of reflective swatches on the front, sides and rear, which help guarantee you will get seen.
  • Machine washable at 40 degrees C.
  • Sizes: S (37-39.5 shoe size), M (40-42), L (42.5-44.5), XL (45-47), XXL (47.5-49.5).

Overshoe Overview

Protecting the extremities is key to feeling comfortable in cold weather. That's why overshoes are a near-essential part of the all-weather cyclist's wardrobe. When the temperature falls, the extra layer of insulation is very welcome. Also, you're far less likely to feel the cold than when your feet are dry. What’s more, with the average price of cycling shoes coming in at around £100, it makes sense to spend around £25 on a pair of overshoes to protect your investment.

Do bear in mind that with its heel and cleat holes, no overshoe can be totally waterproof. Especially when water can run down your leg and enter the overshoe from the top. Having said that, wearing overshoes when you cycle in the snow and rain gives you the best opportunity of arriving at your destination with warm, dry feet.
