Details

Here is the Jekyll with the Lefty single-legged fork. One leg being lighter than 2, this is probably the lightest long-travel fork anywhere. Like Cannondale's HeadShok forks, the Lefty employs 88 needle bearings that roll stiction-free between 4 corresponding flats on both the oversized aluminum stanchion and slider - a design that virtually eliminates torsional twisting. The Lefty's dedicated cartridge bearing hub has been updated for 2001 with a weight-saving titanium spindle. As befits a bike that can change its personality, a damping dial atop the fork's single leg and a lever on the Fox Float RC rear shock enable you to lock out both the front and the rear suspension virtually on the fly.
