Product Description

The Gemini freeride frame is all about lightweight brawn. TIG-welded and heat-treated from super-light 6061-T6 aluminum, the Gemini features a delta main frame in a twin-triangle design that dramatically boosts strength (and provides loads of welcome crotch clearance).

The bike's full-length, uninterrupted seat tube is welded directly to the bottom bracket shell, giving the Gemini the kind of frame strength that bikes with cantilevered seatposts only dream about. The Gemini's single-pivot rear suspension and beefy aluminum swingarm are both also strong and laterally stiff, and an externally butted head tube saves weight and adds more muscle up front.

The rear swingarm on the Gemini is triangulated for extra strength, and has three different shock mounts for 140 mm, 150 mm or 170 mm of rear wheel travel. Outfitted with a flex-resistant 80 mm wide pivot with sealed bearings and external bearing shields, the swingarm also has lots of room for oversized, mud-caked tires.

While the Gemini is an awesome freerider, mounting tabs for a chain retention widget will also let you set it up as a sweet downhill rig.

The Fox Lefty Max titanium-sprung fork delivers 130mm travel. Developed with Answer Manitou, the Lefty Max features TPC PLUS - Twin Piston Chamber Plus: 1 piston for compression damping; 1 piston for rebound with velocity respondent valves (shims) externally adjustable from the top of the Lefty, while a low-pressure open bath system means no leaks guaranteed.

'Of the complete freeriders we've tried, this is our favorite.

We liked the Gemini - a lot. Cannondale has built one hell of a bike, and we applaud them for it.

The geometry just feels right. It inspires confidence and lets the bike faithfully go where you want it to.

We were very impressed with the Gemini's freeride/big-hit capabilities - after all, Cannondale builds high-quality frames and knows a thing or two about suspension.

Just look at the thing. Is it any wonder that it shreds?

It pedals with remarkable efficiency and remarkably little pedal feedback.

The company that started the freeride game is back, and it's looking to make its mark in history again.'
