Cycling Christmas Gifts 2022

We don’t know about you but, for us, it seems like we have just taken down the Christmas decorations and here we are at December, thinking about cycling gifts, again.

Have you got bike riders in your life that you need the perfect gift for? Whether you are buying for road cyclists, gravel riders, mountain bikers or the leisure cyclist in your life, there will be something in the list below for riders on two wheels.

Last Order Times - please order by 11pm on Saturday 17th December 2022 for bikes to arrive by Christmas. Please note, this is for bikes already in stock. Those puchased on order from the supplier may take longer to arrive. If you miss this deadline, you can still contact us directly and we will do our best to get the bike to you before the big day.

We have a wide selection of cycling gifts on our website but below are a few of what we think are the best cycling gifts for those who love riding bikes.

Cycle of Good

Good for the environment and a perfect gift for cyclists and non cyclists alike. Cycle of Good take used inner tubes that would have gone to UK landfill and turn them into a great gift, handcrafted by tailors in Malawi.

Childrens' Helmets

Children get the best helmet designs. Lazer have a range of uniquely decorated helmets in different colours for a range of ages that would make a great gift for the young cyclist in your life.

Giant also have the Compel and Hoot youth helmets and Endura have the Endura Hummvee Youth helmet for the young mountain biker in your life. Specialized and Giro have their own line of youth helmets also.

Fjallraven/Specialized bikepacking bags

Outdoor specialists Fjallraven have teamed up with Specialized bikes for some super stylish bikepacking bags that fit directly on your bike frame or handlebars and would make the perfect addition to any gravel bike.

Garmin

For the cyclist in your life who loves high tech gadgets, you can't go wrong with a cycling computer. Garmin are one of the leading makers of GPS bike computer and are available in many different models and at varying price points. The Garmin Edge Explore 2 is the latest version and includes mapping and ebike specific stats.

Cateye Cycle Computers

Cateye produce a cycle computer that is a less expensive than the Garmin and makes a great gift for children as a first cycle computer or for people who are just looking for more basic numbers such as speed, distance, etc. Instead of GPS, the Cateye cycle computers use a magnet on the wheel to give the metrics. A great stocking filler.

Quad lock

Being able to see your cycling stats in real time is a must for many cyclists and if, instead of a bike computer, the cyclist in your life would prefer to have their mobile phone on their handlebars then Quad lock could be one of the best cycling gifts.

Ideal for displaying in-ride metrics or if you want to use google maps to find your way around. Quadlock is robust enough for riding off road on gravel bikes and can be detached and re-attached very easily for that mid ride cafe stop.

Bicycle Lights

At this time of year, you can’t have enough lights. We have a dedicated bike light blog for choosing lights for winter cycling. Plenty of options are available so there will be something whether you are looking for a stocking filler or something more substantial.

Lights will either be designed specifically for maximum visibility or for lighting up the road or the trail in front of you.

Not everyone is great at bike maintenance but this is an essential part of cycling. With more rain at this time of year and salt on the roads, it is even more important to keep your cycling equipment clean and lubed to save you money on replacement parts and to make the bike run more smoothly.

Bike Locks

Do you have a commuter cyclist that you are buying for? Great present ideas are usually the ones that people don't think to buy for themselves. With the rise of theft across the UK, it is even more important to lock and secure a bicycle when leaving it unattended, even for a short time. We would always recommend a good D-lock and to be sure that the 'sold secure' rating is appropriate for the value of bike that is being locked.

There are also some very cool, wearable locks from Hiplock to take care of transporting your lock with you when you are out and about.
