The Company of Cyclists
The Company of Cyclists is dedicated to promoting cycling, in all its varieties, for leisure, transport, health, happiness and the environment. Their Bike Try-Out Roadshow, made up of both specialised and conventional cycles, offers cyclists and would-be cyclists the chance to discover the full pleasure and potential of pedal-power in a well-controlled and enjoyable atmosphere. Their Roadshows are usually free to the public, being funded by local authorities or the leisure industry.

Go Bike
GoBike, (The Strathclyde Cycle Campaign) exists to promote cycling in Strathclyde, Scotland, and currently has over 300 members. The club organises cycle runs on the first Sunday of every month in the Glasgow area and campaigns for better cycling facilities in the area.

Highland Cycle Campaign

Newcastle City Riders
The group now known as Newcastle City Riders was formed in 1997 after two families were affected by the same killer disease, leukaemia. Three friends bought bikes and raised money by completing a coast to coast ride. Each year about 50 Newcastle City Riders follow a 150-200 mile route across Northern England or Southern Scotland over three days.

If you want to put an unused bike to good use, get in touch with Re~Cycle. This UK charity collects unwanted old bicycles, refurbishes them, then finds them a good home in the third world.

SPOKES: The Lothian Cycle Campaign
Spokes is the Lothian Cycle Campaign, a non-party political voluntary organisation founded in 1977 with a membership of over 1000. Spokes campaigns for better conditions for cyclists, especially in Edinburgh and the Lothians.

Tynebikes
Tynebikes is a voluntary organisation promoting the interests of cyclists in the Tyneside area. The site offers excellent information on cycling around Northumberland and Teeside. Tynebikes organise weekly non-competitive Sunday rides. Their promise - nobody gets left behind.
