Brose Motor Unit
Brose are a high-end automotive parts company based in Berlin. Their motor unit has the best power to weight ratio in the industry - weighing 3.4kg (as against 4.0kg for the Bosch Performance CX and 3.5kg for the Yamaha X94). It also produces the most torque – 90Nm (as against 75Nm for the Bosch Performance CX and 80Nm for the Yamaha X94).
With this level of power assist (up to 530 Watts - the kind of output a top pro cyclist has to sustain to beat the hour record) the Specialized Turbo Levo has the potential to climb like no other e-mountain bike
True Trail Geometry
Specialized's proven M5 alloy frame boasts a slack 66.5 degree head tube angle for confident downhilling, an athletic (around 74-degree) seat tube angle for maximum pedalling efficiency, a roomy top tube (608mm in medium size) to keep you centred on the bike, a low centre of gravity to keep the Plus-sized tyres nailed to the trail, and wide 750mm bars on an ultra short stem for ultra-responsive steering.
The result - the Turbo Levo steers and descends like today's best trail bikes.
With its 27.5x3 inch tyres (AKA 650Bx3) the Turbo Levo delivers the cushioning, the traction and the flotation required for confident handling - without the complication and expense of mechanical rear suspension.
Mission Control App
Specialized's Mission Control free app for both iPhone and Android connects the Levo battery with your smart phone or GPS via Bluetooth and ANT+.
This enables you to customize the wattage of each of the three power mode (Eco, Trail and Turbo) and programme the duration of your ride in either hours, miles or kilometers via Smart Control to match battery life to optimal power output for every ride.

Then comes the efficient and powerful Turbo technology, mating the battery and motor into the M5 frame in a new way. The exclusive, custom-tuned motor smoothly and quietly puts out up to 530 watts of additional power to the pedals to make climbing nearly effortless, and the output is fully adjustable to conserve energy.
At the battery, you'll find that it's fully integrated with the down tube and easily removable for quick charging or swaps.
It has a lengthy lifespan for hitting long, out of the way trails and, along with the motor, is strategically placed for optimal weight distribution on the frame. This version has a durable build kit, with a 120mm RockShox Revelation Reba RL fork up front, SRAM DB5 brakes, and a SRAM one-by groupset controlling shift and drivetrain duties. It also features our revolutionary new 6Fattie wheel system that decreases deflection and dramatically increases traction, floatation, and fun over the trail.
Add to this our powerful Mission Control App for full control of the Turbo technology and an integrated Trail Display with all of the ride metrics you need, and you're looking at the future of hardtail trail bikes.
The frame was constructed from our M5 Premium Aluminium, which is equal parts strong, lightweight, and incredibly responsive. The design of the frame itself revolves around our Trail HT Geometry that includes all of our trail hallmarks, like a low-slung bottom bracket, roomy top tube, and ultra-short chainstays. Cable routing is all internal, including that of the dropper post, while the battery and motor is fully integrated in the down tube.
The RockShox Reba RL fork was developed to deliver up to 120mm of plush, trail taming travel, while accommodating 15x110mm thru-axles for reliable handling and durability over rough, bumpy, or loose terrain.
SRAM DB5 brakes feature a high-volume reservoir and a custom four-piston design in order to provide you with heaps of stopping power for hard and steep riding.'
