I have owned this bike for about a month now and its dawned on me how good a descender this bike is! With a head angle of 67 degrees and a long wheelbase it is a very stable and confidence inspiring ride. The steeper it gets more amazing the bike is! I am yet to find a trail were my skill exceeds the bikes capability, and most likely never will! The suspension set-up is a doddle with the fox auto sag shock. The fork feels very plush with 150mm of dual-air. The Specialized Command post is new to me but is a feature which once you've used you'll never want to go back. It is especially good if you ride trails that have short, steep climbs and descents. It helps maintain your flow on the trail, inspiring confidence. Don't get the impression that this bike is just a downhill trail shredder because its not. I weighed my in at just a fraction over 28lbs (XL frame) which is outstanding for a bike with this amount of travel and downhill capability. It will climb the vast majority of can be expected of a trail bike and even lighter XC bikes. With or without the additional tubeless upgrade this is a true do it all mountain bike which you can rely on. I took one star off because it didn't come tubeless but for a £50 upgrade you can't really complain. Very happy with it. |
