Specialized Sirrus Comp
2x10 is the way to go.
Matching a 34/48 SRAM chainset with an 11-36 cassette gives you the range of gears that would normally demand a triple chainset. 2x10-speed gearing is therefore a good thing because it simplifies shifting. What’s more, the SRAM chainset’s lower Q factor (distance between the outside of the pedal holes) positions your feet closer together for optimal pedalling and biomechanical efficiency.
Upgrades over Specialized Sirrus Elite
- SRAM 2x10 shifting.
- Specialized 4-position oversized forged alloy stem makes it easier to fine tune the handlebar height.
- More sporty wheels with semi-aero rims.
- Specialized Espoir Sport 700x28c tyres with double BlackBelt puncture protection.
- Commuter Bike Sizing Guide.
Same as Specialized Sirrus Elite
- Lighter weight Specialized E5 frame.
- Specialized FACT (Functionally Advanced Composite Technology) forks with carbon legs and Zertz inserts combine a responsive road feel with a forgiving ride.
- Specialized Body Geometry saddle and grips - the best guarantee of comfort on the bike today.
'Combining the heart of the world's best road bikes with a flat-bar, urban-friendly form, Sirrus Comp redefines the notion of versatility. The lightweight carbon fork and 2x10 SRAM drivetrain means lighter weight, smoother ride, and flawless shifting.'

What a bike! Quick with simple gearing, excellent style with looks. Nothing but compliments on style and design of the bike from fellow bikers. Unique neat wiring of the cables within the frame. Surprisingly light weight. Additional upgrades which I also recommend for pot ridden roads are wider tyres, otherwise keep standard tyres for smooth surfaces. A definite good choice for a new enthusiast. |
