Specialized Secteur Sport
This is like the standard Specialized Secteur upgraded with a Shimano Sora 3x9 transmission.
Upgrades from Specialized Secteur
- Shimano Sora 3x9 dual control shifters and gear mechs.
- Lighter weight DT Axis 1.0 wheels with DT spokes and rims, and Specialized machined hubs.
Same as Specialized Secteur
If you're on an aluminium alloy frame rather than a carbon frame budget, the Specialized Secteur offers many of the virtues of the Specialized Roubaix.
Just as the Roubaix was named after the 'Hell of the North' road race from Paris to Roubaix, the Specialized Secteur pays homage to the cobbled secteurs of that famous one-day race. It is a true road race bike that has been designed to cope with roads that are less than smooth without compromising its ability to go very fast.
The Secteur retains the lightweight performance attributes that make the Specialized Allez such an exciting bike to ride whilst upping the comfort quotient. For instance, like the Allez, the Secteur has a FACT (Functionally Advanced Composite Technology) fork. The Secteur fork legs, like the Specialized's Roubaix, are implanted with visco-elastic Zertz. Zertz are solid jelly inserts that deliver remarkable shock absorbency without the weight penalty we normally associate with suspension. Also like the Specialized Roubaix, the head tube is 20mm taller so the bars can be higher and the wheelbase is 25m longer to make the Secteur more stable than a full-on racing Specialized Allez or Tarmac.
- Lightweight Specialized A1 Premium Aluminium smooth-welded double-butted frame with S-shaped seatstays for vertical compliance and an efficient ride.
- The lightweight FACT carbon fork delivers precise steering through tight turns. Its Zertz inserts absorb and damp road chatter.
- The integrated headset with sealed cartridge bearings contribute's to the Secteur's smooth lines, and its smooth steering.
- Forged aluminium Teflon-impregnated dual pivot brakes.
- Specialized Espoir Sport BlackBelt puncture-resistant 700 x 25 tyres.

After a lot of pondering I purchased a Specialized Secteur no regrets what a machine, the stability of this bike is great, the gearing is perfect & for me at 65 years of age is just a great machine to ride. I have done a approx 900miles since purchase on routes around Aberdeenshire & beyond some new & some old, & can’t wait till the sunny days again when I will be knocking up the miles with a few over night stops here and there, |

Tempted to get a road bike despite my somewhat inflexible spine, I was advised to look at the Specialized Secteur with its accommodating geometry. Bought one and have found it wonderfully comfortable for me without giving up any performance. A great bike and a great buy! |

Having ridden well over 2000 miles on this particular bike. I can confirm that it is fit for an endurance/sportive use. The geometry of the frame is more relaxed than that of a performance/race road bike. This is due to a number of factors including taller headtube, longer wheelbase and curved stays. If you want a bike to eat into the miles and be in there for the long haul; then this offering from Specialized really does hit the mark. |
