    Specialized Secteur

If you're on an aluminium alloy frame rather than a carbon frame budget, the Specialized Secteur offers many of the virtues of the Specialized Roubaix

Just as the Roubaix was named after the 'Hell of the North' road race from Paris to Roubaix, the Specialized Secteur pays homage to the cobbled secteurs of that famous one day race. It is a true road race bike that has been designed to cope with roads that are less than smooth without compromising its ability to go very fast.

The Secteur retains the lightweight performance attributes that make the Specialized Allez such an exciting bike to ride whilst upping the comfort quotient. For instance, like the Allez, the Secteur has a FACT (Functionally Advanced Composite Technology) fork. The Secteur fork legs, like the Specialized's Roubaix, are implanted with visco-elastic Zertz. Zertz are solid jelly inserts that deliver remarkable shock absorbency without the weight penalty we normally associate with suspension. Also like the Specialized Roubaix, the head tube is 20mm taller so the bars can be higher and the wheelbase is 25mm longer to make the Secteur more stable than a full-on racing Specialized Allez or Tarmac.

    • Lightweight Specialized A1 Premium Aluminium smooth-welded double-butted frame with S-shaped seatstays for vertical compliance and an efficient ride.
    • Lightweight FACT carbon fork provides precise steering through tight turns. Its Zertz inserts absorb and damp road chatter.
    • Forged aluminium Teflon-impregnated dual pivot brakes.
    • Shimano 2300 3 x 8-speed dual control gear shifting with triple chainset offers easier gears for steep hills.
    • Specialized Espoir Sport BlackBelt 700 x 25 tyres.

    Ask a question
    Q. I am a mere 68.5 inches tall but have long legs - 32 inches - for my height. The legs seem to say a 54cm or 56cm frame but the height implies something smaller. I am male, have previously ridden flat bar hybrids only. So this would be my entry into road cycling. Any suggestions?
    A. Given your measurements the 54cm would be the more suitable option, the 54cm is generally more suited for riders from around 5' 6" to 5'9".
The Secteur is an ideal bike for entry into road cycling and will also be the ideal bike for cycle sportives.
