Specialized Hardrock SE
Specialized’s exceptional entry-level MTB.
The Specialized Hardrock has been a legend for the past 25 years because it has probably turned more people on to the joys of mountain biking than any other single MTB model. With its lightweight (around 1,600g) fully butted aluminium alloy frame featuring Specialized’s signature ORE (Optimised Radius Engineering) down tube and it size-specific fork spring rate, Specialized continue to go the extra mile - even with their entry-level mountain bike.
- Fully butted A1 Premium Aluminium frame with double ORE down tube makes for a lighter, more compliant and durable bike.
- At only 1,600g and boasting disc brake mounts, the Hardrock frame is good enough to upgrade, even to Shimano XT standard, when the original components start to wear out.
- 80mm-travel SR SunTour fork with preload adjustment and size-specific spring rates - i.e. the 13" model will have a lighter sprung fork than the 15.5 and so on.
- Light and durable double-walled alloy rims.
- Specialized Fast Trak LK (low knob) Sport tyres have a reduced knob height for lower rolling resistance, but have plenty of grip for confidence on the trail.
- Reliable Shimano Tourney 3x7 EZ Fire gearing.
- Alloy V-brakes.
- Specialized Body Geometry saddle - one of the best guarantees of comfort on a bike.
