With its In-Line Vents (one behind the other) to encourage air-flow over the head, the Echelon is optimised for road biking.
The Echelon delivers the benefits of Specialized's 4th Dimension Cooling System - so called because it has 4 elements:
- The Mega Mouthport allows air to enter the helmet and cool the forehead.
- In-Line Vents (one behind the other) encourage air to flow over the head -
- - via Deep Internal Channeling -
- - then out through the Rear Exhaust Ports.
But there's more to this helmet than a 4D cooling.
- The Headset SL fit system's four height positions and rear adjustment dial make it easy to achieve a perfect fit that’s always secure, never over-tight.
- In-mould construction helps guarantee the helmet's integrity.
- The EPS shell's composite matrix internal reinforcement enables Specialized to safely manufacture this helmet with larger, more cooling vents.
- U-Turn adjusters help keep the straps in place after initial set up.
