With its E5 alloy frame, the Comp is Specialized's best-spec'd Allez road race bike.

In the early 2000s Specialized reserved their stiffer lighter E5 alloy frame for their Tour de France-quality S-Works bikes. E5 is a unique-to-Specialized alloy of aluminium reinforced with silicon, copper, manganese, magnesium and zinc. E5 is more formable than conventional 6061 aluminium. This enables Specialized to specify every inch of tube so the frame is as light as possible where it can be and strong as possible where needs be. It truly is an elite alloy.

To match this frame, Specialized adorn the Allez Comp with a 100% Shimano 105 groupset. This means that you don't just get the 2x10 shifters and mechs, as is often the case with '105-equipped bikes'. The chainset and brakes are also Shimano 105. As we never tire of reminding you, the more high-end Shimano equipment you get on the bike, the more we can guarantee your delight in the bicycle's performance and reliability.
