SKS P45 Mudguards Wide Road

The mudguard formerly known as ESGE, this is the best-made conventional mudguard set for hybrids and touring bikes. Quite simply, no other guards do a better job of keeping you dry.

'These are basically the original classic ESGE 'guards - the name was dropped after SKS took over. The tough chromoplastic construction is virtually indestructible, and the stainless stays and fittings are by far the best of their type in terms of weather protection and resistance to corrosion. Verdict: 10/10. Expensive but worth it - the guards against which others are measured.' Cycling Plus magazine November 1999.

Suitable for bikes with 700x28-37 tyres

Please note that these SKS mudguards no longer come equipped with mudflaps.

Aberdeen
Great product fitted to my road bike which I use for commuting, used the P45 guards for 700x32 tyres perfect fit. Look really good, my bike has discs so I cut off the stay that routed across the disc caliper; there are 2 stays on each side of each guard, needed some minor adjustments but the finished product once fitted looks good and works well. Instructions are not that good found a couple of good you tube videos that were really helpful, take plenty of time and patience when fitting.

Fantastic mudguards. Haven't had a drop on me in pretty awful weather (Aug-Nov 2013). Fitted by EBC when I bought the bike so can't testify to how easy that is, but extra star to them for doing it gratis!
Ask a question
Q. Would these mudguards fit my Whyte Caledonian bike fitted with, Vittoria Randonneur/Trail, 700 x35c tyres ?
A. These should fit with a little adjustment to accommodate the fork configuration and some angle brackets.  However, Whyte do recommend using their own mudguards, the C7 set which is available here.
Q. will these be a good fit for a revolution courier race with 28mm tyres, or would the narrow road (p35) guards be a better fit. would i get less preotection from a narrower guard
A. Yes we would probably recommend the P45 over the P35 on a courier race for better coverage.
Q. will these mud guards fit on my revolution Audax bike to allow me to fit 700x32 tyres?
A. The Revolution Audax will accept a 700x28 tyre however has limited clearance. A 700x32 tyre may work depending on the tyre with no mudguards fitted. You couldn't though run a 700x32 tyre with mudguards on the Audax.
