- 16 bladed straight-pull 2-cross spokes (front).
- 20 bladed straight-pull 2-cross spokes (rear).
- Bladed spokes are more aerodynamic than round spokes.
- Lacking an elbow, the potential weak spot of a conventional spoke, a straight pull spoke is stronger.
- Standard cup and cone bearings can be maintained, way in the future, with cone spanners and grease in the old familiar way.
