Enables you to fit a rear gear to a frame lacking a conventional dropout with integral gear hanger.

• Also useful as a last resort. We have got bikes back on the road when the frame's original hanger has been bent out of shape, simply by sawing off the twisted hanger and fitting this one.
• Works best on long horizontal dropouts. Short vertical dropouts might not have sufficient space to accommodate a Shimano hanger plate.
