The R500's were bought to replace some cheap stock wheels on my bike. The improvement was noticeable...a good cheap bike suddenly became a bit better, sharper accelerating and a pleasure to ride.Another major bonus was that tyres were easy to fit.
In 12 months they have coped with the side loads from carrying 30kg of shopping in panniers, perhaps slightly disappointing is that they need a bit of truing, that this is the front wheel as much as the back is down to the wheel and not the usage. Hence the loss of a star in the rating, however, recommended, and I've seen them fitted to bikes at £1000 price point, so a great way to upgrade a cheaper bike at modest cost.
