The inclusion of, for instance, cable cutters makes this toolkit even more advanced.
What's more the tools that previously required a separate spanner - the bottom bracket tool, the cassette lockring tool, the crank remover, and the chain whip - each come with their own handle, making them easier to use.

What an excellent set of tools for the money. The individual tools are all very well made and seem very resilient - unlike some of the, er, "other" tools that I've come across in the past. The savings in buying this collection of tools, rather than acquiring each tool-type individually, is the greatest plus point. But I was surprised that the tool quality seems far above "basic". For example, the cable cutters are tough, precise and sharp enough to cut even the finest cable winding very cleanly - unlike the pliers I have been using for years. What could be improved? Perhaps extra space in the case for those odds & sods of tools not already provided. For example, I have various old style freewheels that need their own specialist removal tool. It would be good if there was a space for the torque wrench I also bought at the same time. But for value, coverage of functions and good-handling/feel, 95 out of 100. And just think - you could pay an awful lot more for a similar set from another upmarket brand, just for the nice label and a dozen extra spanners and drivers you will never actually use. |

I bought one of these sets in the January sale. This was exceptional value, as the kit allows you to maintain your bike, which in the end will save more money. It really is a no brainer. The tools are well made, and you could not buy them individually for anywhere near the same price. |
