Revolution Tune Up 9 Hex Key Set
The Revolution Tune Up 9 Hex Key Set is even more impressive than our 7 Hex Key Set.
Upgrades from Revolution Tune Up 7 Hex Key Set
- Comprises 9 individual Allen keys: 1.5, 2, 2.5. 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 10mm.
- The long 8mm Allen key is required for loosening or tightening the crank bolts of many modern bikes.
- The even longer (18cm) 10mm Allen key is required for fitting or removing most Shimano freehub bodies.
- In fact all the Allen keys in this set are longer, so they offer extra leverage.
- Each Allen key is conventional hex headed on one side, ball-end the other.
- The ball-end allows you to loosen or tighten the Allen bolt at an angle when you can't slot the Allen key into the bolt's hex socket square on. This can be very useful for loosening or tightening an awkward-to-access bolt such as a bottle cage screw.
- 340g - the Revolution Tune Up 9 Hex Key Set is a weighty pro-workshop quality tool set.
Same as Revolution Tune Up 7 Hex Key Set
- Each hex wrench is manufactured in hardened S2 steel.
- Each hex wrench is colour coded.
- You quickly learn, for instance, that when you need a 5mm Allen key, go for the red one.
- Colour coding is extremely useful if you no longer enjoy 20/20 vision.
- Colour coding saves you from squinting at the laser-etched small-case '5' on the wrench's handle to identify it.
- Each hex head is chamfered to help prevent scratches or tool marks.
- The hex keys come supplied in a neat hard-plastic case with hexagonal slots - one for each wrench to slip into.
- Each slot is numbered according to the size of Allen key that fits it.
- Storing the hex wrenches in the case make them much easier to keep track off compared with having separate Allen keys rattling around your tool box.
- The case is hinged to make the set more compact for storage.
- A slot on the side of the case allows you to, say, hang this hex set on a nail in your shed.
- A good hex set isn't just for the bike, it comes in handy for jobs around the house such as assembling Ikea furniture.
