    Revolution Heritage

The unisex step-through frame invites you to hop onto this bike whenever the fancy takes you. The high, swept-back handlebars encourage you to ride upright and relaxed in a 'surveying the manor' kind of style. The elastomer-sprung saddle is made for cushioned comfort. The wicker basket has proved itself for over a century as the easiest way to carry stuff while keeping it accessible. The gloss-black paint job underlines its timeless good looks. That's our Heritage.

The Revolution Heritage might look like a bike your grandparents might have ridden. A quick check of the spec will inform you that this bike also embraces the benefits of modernity. In particular, the frame, wheels, cranks and seatpost are all lightweight aluminium alloy. The Shimano Revo twistshifter makes it easy to click through the 7 gears. 700x38 tyres balance stability with a reasonable turn of speed. The Tektro V-brakes are the same as you will find on some of today's £350 mountain bikes.

The quality of the accessories supplied with this bike illustrate our commitment to taking care of our Heritage.

    • The chromoplastic aluminium-reinforced nylon mudguards are light, strong and they guard your clothes against splatter as does the full chainguard.
    • The rear pannier rack has a spring clip for lashing down the morning newspaper.
    • A stainless steel spring between the fork crown and down tube stabilises the steering and counteracts the effect of carrying a laden basket on the handlebars - for instance unplanned bar spins when you park the bike.
    • The deluxe Japanese brass bell has a much friendlier tone than a regular alloy ping bell, thus helping you spread the good vibes when you go out and enjoy your Heritage.
    • Weight: 16.92kg / 37.32lb (based upon weighing one example of this bike. We weigh the whole bike as you would receive it with pedals reflectors and bell - items many bike companies remove before weighing their bicycles. Weights can fluctuate between different sizes and builds so please regard our published weights as a useful but inexact guide.)

    Ask a question
    Q. I am only 5’2”and want a bike to run around not for leisure not work, but I like this bike, what size should I take?
    A. Our Revolution Heritage is a very popular choice of bicycle, ideal bike for running around, shopping and canal/cycle paths. For a rider of your height we would recommend a 16" size frame.
    Q. I am looking for a bike and I will be in Edinburgh on the 11th on February. Therefore I wanted to ask if you have the Revolution Heritage '11 (black) bike in your store? I don't know whether I would need 16" or 18" but my height is 1.65 cm.
    A. For someone of your height we would recommend the Revolution Heritage '11 in the 16" frame size. As stock levels change daily we would ask that call us on 08452570808 and we can discuss the options regarding collecting the bike in store.
