Developed in co-operation with Swiss fabric specialist Eschler, Protective have taken optimal panel placement to the next level with their brand new Kona Bib Short.

Employing precise body-mapping techniques Protective identified 3 key zones. The Muscle Zone (e.g. the thighs) requires maximum support and compression. The Movement Zone (e.g. the hip joint) requires maximum elasticity. The Sweat Zone (e.g. the chest) requires maximum ventilation. Eschler's triple-function Synchro TX fabric delivers seamless transition between each zone.

Continuing the transition theme, instead of sewing the chamois into the short, Protective start of with the pad, then they sew the short around the chamois. The chamois outer layer is the same fabric as the short's to prevent wrinkling and to maximise its elasticity. Protective's new RPS (Ride Position System) chamois is anatomically moulded for a friction-eliminating stepless transition from 3 to 8mm thick.
